KB08122902 Revert to previous build

 

This article explains how to revert to a previous build of Mailtraq due to a failed upgrade or to step-back from trying a beta-version.

Step 1 - Locate the 'safety' backup copy you made of the Mailtraq Database folder.

Step 2 - Download the Full Version of the version and build of Mailtraq you wish to revert to from your account at https://my.mailtraq.com 

The file will be in the format: 
http://resources.mailtraq.com/files/MailtraqSetupxxxx.exe
or
http://resources.mailtraq.com/files/MailtraqWixSetupxxxx.exe

Step 3 - Shut down Mailtraq

Step 4 - Uninstall Mailtraq from the Windows Control Panel - Add and Remove Programs
The Mailtraq Database will not be removed.

Step 5 - Locate the Mailtraq Database folder, and rename it to database-old

Step 6 - Copy the 'safety' database folder (Step 1) into place next to database-old.

Step 7 - Run the Download (Step 2)

Mailtraq will reinstall as the previous version and run. Your Configuration will be preserved.
