info.mailtraq.com > Archiving > File System Storage File System StorageMailtraq's main archiving system compresses messages and stores them in a database for efficient disk usage. An alternative is to use Uncompressed File System storage. This places a copy of the message as a text file in Message Format directly onto the hard drive in a location of your choice, outside of the Mailtraq database and file structure. These messages can then be managed by external programs of your choice. The messages are no longer searchable within Mailtraq, but can be scanned by any large text editor, such as GREP?. It is also possible to combine methods, so both conventional Archiving and Uncompressed storage are used. Method In both the following cases a secondary mailbox is created.
