Calls an external application with supplied parameters. The ExecuteAsync() function allows the script to continue immediately. Use the Execute() function to suspend script operation until the called application terminates.
ExecuteAsync( application , [ parameters ])
- The full path name of the application to execute
- The parameters, separated by spaces, passed to the application. These are the same as the command-line parameters that might be given if the application was executed from the Windows Shell.
Runs the Notepad text editor (assuming that Windows has been installed into the "c:\windows" directory) and provides the filename to open. A more effective text editing example is given for ShellExecute()
