Messages received by a mailbox can be automatically modified.

Strip Out Attachments

This option removes all attachments from a received email, including HTML alternates to leave a Plain Text message.

This option is used as a safety measure to prevent active components passing through to client machines and to force to Plain Text for collection by mobile devices or in other low-bandwidth connections.

 

Process Disclaimers

Footers and Disclaimers are normally only applied to messages that leave Mailtraq - they are not seen by local users.

Enable this option (checkbox) to force Mailtraq to add any Disclaimers prior to storing.

This option would normally only be used in the context of Archiving for SEC, HIPAA or other Statutory Retention.
