Folders

Folders for Filtering and Storing Messages 

Users would normally create their own folders using their IMAP client or using the folder facility in Webmail. 

The Folders tab, is used by the Administrator to directly configure folders visible in WebMail and IMAP clients. 

Options available to the Admin are Rename, Add, and Delete. 

Note: use drag and drop to move folders to different locations.

Folders can be nested by dragging them to a new Parent.

Configuration Tip

Administrators should guard against allowing excessive build up of junk or deleted mail in Users mailboxes. Effective spam filtering can divert many thousands of messages to Junk - and this build up of messages can slow the overall performance of the mailserver - particularly the responsiveness of webmail.
