info.mailtraq.com > Content Barring & Logging > Introduction to Barring Introduction to Barring Content Barring examines the data being carried by some of Mailtraq's services and can be used to filter out unwanted or unwelcome data. The filters can be applied selectively to Users, to their IP Addresses, or to both.
Entire or partial online resources may also be filtered out by specifying URL in a combination of blacklists and whitelists. Breaches of Content Barring policy can be reported in real time by email to a local or remote address. Content Barring is aimed mainly at data being processed by the HTTP Service (using the Mailtraq Proxy) but can also be applied to Incoming Mail. The Ban Cache contains URLs blocked by content analysis, not URL analysis (as URL analysis will always match the same URLs so it isn't necessary). You can also manually create a text file - one url per line and save them thus: \database\configuration\cbar\blacklst.txt Getting started Detailed configuration advice is provided at the links on the right of this page, - - - > and at dialog [Help] button. |
