Export Messages You can export all the messages in a Mailbox. You can also Move and Copy messages between mailboxes.
Export To create a snap-shot of a mailbox for archive or later re-import, or to transfer the contents of a mailbox between two different Mailtraq servers
Select the mailbox in the Console tree-view.
Right-click and select Export messages from the drop-down
Mailtraq will export the contents of the Mailbox to the disk location you select.
Messages are in effect copied to the exported file.
Export Format Mailboxes are exported in AFV database structure, as a pair of files:
mailbox.afv mailbox.idx
even though the dialog feed-back only mentions the AFV file, its Index (.idx) is automatically created.
See Configuration Tips below.
Move to ... and Copy to ... and Route...
For small numbers of messages you can move messages and copy messages between mailboxes by right-clicking on a message in the Console and selecting one of the options.
The following dialog-box allows you to set the destination mailbox within the Console, and which folder you want the messages to be placed into.

Tip: You can type the path directly and whenever you type a slash it populates the drop-down with all the children. So if you type in “/” you get a list of root objects, select one and type “/” and you get the next set of children.
Route...
The Route... option runs a copy of the selected message through the internal message router and any message routing rules will be applied.
Configuration Tips
Importing
You may import these files into another Mailtraq by using the Message Import Wizard in the Console:
Tools | Import Message Wizard more ...
Custom Folders When you export messages Mailtraq does not automatically export any custom folders. If you wish to place the imported messages in the same custom folder as they were exported from you must manually do the following
In the old Mailtraq locate a folder like this:
C:\Program Files\Mailtraq\database\configuration\mailfolders
Shut down your Mailtraq.
Copy the \mailfolders to the matching position.
Restart Mailtraq
Then Import the messages.
