info.mailtraq.com > Calendaring > Free/Busy sharing in Outlook Free/Busy sharing in OutlookBackground How to set up Outlook Configuration In particular, you can configure a global Free/Busy lookup URL in Outlook that will get the information from WebMail. Note that the file type is set to .ifb http://192.168.1.192/calendar/%NAME%.ifb The above is an example of a WebMail URL with %NAME% being the part before the @ symbol in the invitees address. If there is a match for any invitee e-mail address then Free/Busy data is retrieved by Outlook. You use this URL even if you do not use webmail for any other purpose. Search Location The 'Search Location' is the same location used for accessing webmail - so that can be specified by IP Address (as in the example) or by domain - http://webmail.mydomain.com/calendar/%NAME%.ifb It is possible to have Outlook publish the data by FTP but if the calendar is being synced to Mailtraq then it will already know the user's schedule. Future Events Only Mailtraq does not calculate past Free/Busy times, only Future times. In the above example the 'No information' marks the period before the Free/Busy search was made. The highlighted zone marks available time. |
