True Archiving (read more... ) removes messages from the normal user mailbox and places them in 'storage'. Messages may be searched for and recovered, but they cannot be browsed using IMAP or from the Console. Archive to Mailbox enables the Administrator to create additional user-accounts for Users that they can subscribe to using IMAP and WebMail. Archive to Mailbox manages the expiry of messages from the main mailbox to the additional account. Multiple additional accounts can be used so that messages cascade from one to the next, to provide easy access to long term storage of messages whilst not overburdening IMAP clients. Configuration Tip It is important to remember to set Archiving on the 'final mailbox' to move messages to the true archive for permanent storage. Additional user accounts created for Live Archiving are deducted from the license total. True Archives are included with each user account. |
