info.mailtraq.com > Contacts & Directories > Local Directory Visibility Local Directory Visibility Users are not visible by default
Local Users are not visible in the Mailtraq Contacts in Webmail or in the Mailtraq Assistant until you adjust the User's mailbox Properties in the Console view.
To enable Local Users to be seen right-click on the Users mailbox in the Console to access the Mailbox Properties dialog.
Select the state you wish to use from the drop-down menu associated with the Local Directory Visibility entry.
Private (Owner) | Visibility restricted to the defined Owner of the mailslot | Protected (LAN) | Visibility restricted to any user on the defined Local Area Network | Public (Anybody) | Visible to any user |
In most cases if you wish a mailbox to be visible in the Local Directory the visibility should be set to Public.
Public = General Visibility: The Public setting is only within the context of other access controls in Mailtraq: users must have log on access to the system to view the directory.
Contacts and LDAP
The Local Directory Visibility setting also controls whether a local user is shown in Address Books/Contacts and in LDAP searches |
