Instant Messaging with Mailtraq Assistant
The Mailtraq Assistant provides a complete Instant Messaging service for easy real-time communication with other Mailtraq Assistant users (whether within your organisation or via other Mailtraq Servers visible on the Internet).
Conversations can be held with any number of participants and the conversations can be automatically transcribed. These transcriptions can be sent by e-mail to specific addresses (such as archives) or to participants (local, remote or both).

MA (Mailtraq Assistant) uses the XMPP service - check that it is available by looking in Active Connections in the Console Tree.
This is normally installed by default, but can be added if necessary from the Options | Services control.
MA uses port 5222 and you will need to ensure that this is open on your network and machine firewalls.
The Outlook Synch functions of MA have been replaced by MOS. Read more here ...
