Using webmail has been designed to be as intuitive as possible.
To Send a message, first click on the 'Compose' button.

Clicking on the 'To', 'CC' and 'BCC' buttons will give you access to the 'Contacts' system.
Click in the body of the compose window to enter the text of your message. Spell check is available if your Administrator has enabled that option.
If you want to send a file with your email, first browse to the file on your local system and select it.
You may then attach the file to the email by clicking the Attach button. You may attach mutiple files to your email.
Your Administrator can set the system to prevent you from attaching files to emails.

You can save a copy of messages sent in your Sent Items Folder.
You may 'Resend' an email by selecting the email in the Sent Items Folder and clickingthe [Resend] button. An exact copy of the original message will open, which can be edited and then sent in the normal way.
You should be aware that many Administrators limit how much mail is allowed in mailboxes and how long it is kept for. You should check with your Administrator to find out your organization's policy.
Forwarding
Mailtraq provides two methods of forwarding messages.
[Forward] - which forwards the plain text version of the email, that is without formatting. This ensures maximum acceptability for all sorts of email clients.
[Forward as Attachment] - which forwards the message with all of its formatting, but which may not be displayed by email clients set to plain text only or in many mobile devices.
This should not be confused with 'Attaching' a file to an email.
Options | Mail Settings
This menu item gives you access to a number of features. Many of these features must be enabled by the Webmail Administrator (see here ... ) If you do not see the setting offered in your view of Mailtraq you should contact your system Administrator.
Spell Check and Auto-Responder (Out-of-Office)

Mailtraq provides the ability to automatically respond to messages received in a mailbox. This can be used to automatically provide information or for 'out-of-office' responses. Administrators can allow Users to configure their own responses by using the built-in webmail system.
Mailtraq provides additional tools to ensure that auto responses do not mis-behave or annoy recipients.
Do Not Respond List
Users can add names to a permanent do-not-reply list
Only Respond to Inbox-folder
Mailtraq can be configured to ignore messages that are sorted into folders other than the Inbox.
This allows Users to configure mail-filters to route regular correspondence to mail-folders to prevent an automatic response to those messages.
Already Responded List
Every time the auto-responder replies to a message, it caches the return path and will not reply again for a set period of time.
Scheduling
Autoresponders can also be set as a Calendar event. The autoresponder will be automatically set or disabled according to the schedule set in the Users Calendar. Read more about Calendars here ...
Plan vs Rich Text

You can control:
- whether WebMail auto-saves messages on sending
- whether WebMail offers special folders in natural (a-b-c) order, or at the top (Outlook style).
- whether the default message style is Plain Text or HTML - and specify font and size.
The Profile window is available by clicking on [Options] in the main toolbar and selecting [Mail Settings]
Here you can configure the names and addresses that recipients will see in messages that you send
and control the Default BCC Address and whether outgoing messages are saved in the Sent Items Folder.
Here you can configure a short signature paragraph (or disclaimer, etc) that will be added automatically to all composed mail.
Note: A salutation prefix is not suitable with this option and may need to be changed to a message summary instead.
Prefixes are greetings and attributions added automatically to the start of Replies and Forwards to help the recipient track the thread.
